AW2 releases a new mirrorless camera to aid the Photographers need when shooting underwater. Instead of having an expensive submersible housing D-SLR to protect the camera underwater or the point and shoot image quality, this AW2 mirrorless camera produce the same image quality without having those expensive water housing for protection. The compact internals allow Photographers to ruggedize and seal the camera without adding too much size in it.
The new AW2 lens is enclosed in a sealed barrel thus it is safe to use underwater unlike other camera that has open stacked open component upon zooming the lenses. All the parts will remain protected as the camera zooms up.
Watertight Camera Mount
The AW2 mount lens is raised to about seven millimeters above its body. The lenses slip over it and groove in the housing which the gap is filled with a greased rubber.
Underwater Camera Flash
AW2’s flash illuminates up to 16 feet of seawater ahead. Its power travels through insulated wires from the its body.
The doors to SD card and battery compartments are lined with rubber gaskets to ensure that it will not open underwater.
Its housing is backed up with rubber, stainless steel and polycarbonate that protects the camera whenever it falls.
